DOHA: Qatar will be eyeing a hat-trick of wins against Lebanon when the two sides clash in a friendly in Thursday at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Last year, Qatar beat Lebanon by identical 1-0 margins in two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.
Qatar failed to go past the group phase of the Gulf Cup in Bahrain, prompting a change in coach. Thursday's match will be Thani's first assignment as the coach of the Qatar national team. The Qatar team is playing the Lebanon qualifier in preparation for next month's 2015 Asian Cup qualifier against Malaysia.
